Christian Ludwig Attersee, *1940 in Pressburg, Slovakia. Lives and works in Vienna and Semmering in Lower Austria.

Christian Ludwig Attersee is an Austrian painter, graphic artist and object artist. His diverse artistic practice extends to painting, graphics, sculpture, applied art, stage design and film production. His work is characterized by a unique combination of abstract elements and representational motifs, using a variety of techniques and media. Recognized internationally, he received numerous awards and represented Austria at the Biennale di Venezia in 1984. Attersee taught at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna from 1990 to 2009 and left an impressive artistic legacy with over 500 solo exhibitions worldwide. Known for his vibrant personality and unconventional art, Attersee is a defining figure in the contemporary Austrian art scene.
