As part of Parallel Vienna 2021 taking place at the Semmelweis Clinic, Zein Editions presents three extraordinary print projects that showcase printmaking in its purest form.
UNIQUE PRINTS: The unique print edition by Herman Nitsch are original works created in collaboration with the artist at the printmaking studio. Each print is an individual artwork that reflects the uniqueness and intensity of Nitsch’s artistic vision in a powerful fusion of action painting and printmaking.
EMERGING & ESTABLISHED: In this series, special editions titled Under Pressure are presented. The artworks were created during a live printing event and offer exclusive insights into the work of renowned and up-and-coming artists. The representatives of this series include: Alfredo Barsuglia, Anna-Maria Bogner, Robert Gabris, Martin Grandits, Begi Guggenheim, Brigitte Kowanz, Constantin Luser, Nick Oberthaler, Roman Pfeffer, Maruša Sagadin, Patrick Roman Scherer, Stylianos Schicho, Deborah Sengl, Sophia Süssmilch, TOMAK, Andreas Werner.
RARITIES: Another highlight of the exhibition are rarely presented prints and portfolios by Christian L. Attersee, Günter Brus and Arnulf Rainer.
These significant artists have left a lasting impression in the art world through their consistent approach to printmaking.
